A Happy New Year to You All!

Here's wishing all my readers, new and old, the frequent commentors and the lurkers, my facebook followers, google reader subscribers and the email subscribers, everybody who has ever read my blog and is reading this blog now......Wishing you a new year and a new decade that is fresh and invigorating in every way, where you can trim away the old to make way for the new, where you can make all your lovely dreams and beautiful visions come true...filled with family and friends, and of course fun and food!

Thank you all for the incredible support and encouragement you have given me through all of this...It has been an exhilarating journey since I took my first step into the food blogging world four months ago. I am glad I took that step, in spite of all the doubts and misgivings I had-after all the fantastic food blogs I'd been drooling over and reading and admiring, I never thought I'd have the guts to step in and make a niche for myself but I guess there is a place for all of us under the I wish each of you, whatever you dream of doing, but hesitate to do, don't ever doubt yourself...just go out there and take charge of your life and make your dreams a reality! Wish you all the best!

A special thanks to my wonderful family and friends who have walked by me every step of the way through this-my mom who is the whole reason this blog exists, for my being the foodista that I am today, nurturing in me an adventurous love for different kinds of cuisines while having a busy career of her own, always showering us with love through her food and otherwise(!), my dad who never fails to check my blog every day, keeping track of the visitor comments and statistics even when I can't! and proudly spreading word about this lil' blog to everyone he meets and knows(!), my hubby for putting up with all my foodie experiments, lavishing me with compliments, deserved or not(!), giving me all the technological equipment needed to start this :-), my lil' son for keeping me company in the kitchen while I cooked and baked, all the while stirring and measuring and chatting with me, and yes, both my grandmothers for passing on their culinary genes to me too (!).

Also, to my friends, one of my best friend Emreen who started her design blog ( at the same time as this and has been with me in this blog journey from the beginning, making it all the more fun, my now-special friend from Athens, Katerina ( who has been more of a guide and help to me than anyone can imagine, Biny from Ireland ( with her regular comments.

Of course how can I not mention Vrindechi, who has been there from the start, encouraging me and egging me on with more recipes, Geetha aunty, again my cheerleader and mentor and recipe encyclopedia, and all of you who have so generously shared with me your recipes (Kanchu aunty, Neerjechi, Abithechi, Renisha) and Hani aunty, Ranji maaman, Kshemechi-Jayettan, with your inspiring words over the phone that I won't forget.

Cannot end this without a word about my reclusive and elusive brother, who has just started on his culinary journey-although his favorite cook and point of reference for recipes is always his mom and I know I will only come a close second (until he gets a wife, that is!!), though he may never comment or try out my recipes fearing they're too complicated, I know you're always there for me, bro!!!!!!!!

I wish you all, once again, all the very best in life that you all deserve! Here's to a new decade that will surely rock!
